NEW PRODUCTS 12/2019:
> PINSTRIPE BAMBOO
> THE BIG BROTHER: BASIC L
Not quite in time for the beginning of the Christmas season, but at least not with a seriously bad delay:
This is now our first big Christmas update with great new products, which we are very happy about:
The past 2 month have been hectic, frankly.
But we are super excited to see everything we put so much effort in come to live.
And it turned out so well.
So grab a fresh cup of coffee, lean back and put your feet up - this might take a while.
But it's worth the effort.
Warmest, albeit slightly frozen greetings from Offenbach!

PREMIUM BAMBOO ANYONE?
OUR NEW SIGNATURE PINSTRIPE BAMBOO
Bamboo. Almost the best material for chopping boards.
But unfortunately no premium material at all - thanks to Ikea & the mass imports from China.
But who says that bamboo can't be premium after all?
A question that has accompanied us almost throughout 2019 - and here finally the result:
FRANKFURTER BRETT | PINSTRIPE® BAMBOO
The principle is simple: Horizontal crossbars in strict repeat with rows of upright glued end grain blocks form the basic structure of this panel material and provide the striking appearance.
This not only looks great and very neat, but is also significantly more dimensionally stable compared to conventional end grain panels, because the entire panel is stabilised by the combination of the end grain strips with the rigid cross bars, which means that it is almost completely warp free and should also satisfy the demands of moderate knife freaks, since more than 70% of the panel is made of blade-friendly end grain.
We are so excited about this that we have implemented the new material right across all board variants:
There are now MONO, PHOENIX and PHOENIX-S as well as the BASIC in PINSTRIPE® BAMBUSavailable.
THE NEW BASIC L
Hardly a question we have heard in recent years as often as the question for a large Basic:
A bit more space would be nice, but one does not really need the brackets on the sides, because the kitchen doesn't allow it anyway.
Well. Actually not a bad idea.
But sometimes we are just a little slow.
So, here it is at last:
THE ALL NEW BASIC-L!
Same construction as the original BASIC, but a bit wider and equipped with the modular double slot bracket, known from MONO and Phoenix: So you can match the plus in space with a plus in container size.
And all in all the BASIC-L, despite our initial scepticism, has become very nice and ideal if you cook regularly for more than 4 people.
